Hostels
The Purple Nest hostel Valencia, Spain.
Cailin stayed here in August 2009. This hostel is in a great location in Valencia. It has a great commons/lounge area including its own bar and is the perfect hostel to stay at especially if you are headed to La Tomatina Festival.
The Charlotttetown Backpackers Hostel
In the summer of 2010 Cailin stayed here for a night. Located in the middle of downtown Charlottetown the Charlottetown Backpackers Hostel is the only Hostel on the whole Island (Prince Edward Island). The hostel is in a nice house on a main street next to a cute little park. The rooms were well kept with comfy mattresses, there was also a kitchen to cook in, and a computer/TV room but the best part of it is the Garage. Located next to the house the Garage has a pool table, fridge for drinks, dartboard, stereo system and an awesome old school two player arcade game with every game you can imagine.
Hotels
The Authentic Seacoast Resorts
In the summer of 2010 Cailin visited the Authentic Seacoast in Guysborough,
Nova Scotia two times. While there she stayed the DesBarres Manor. DesBarres is a top notch bed and breakfast located in a quiet little seaside town. There are so many great things to say about this place however it is best said in the Video Review below. Please watch and enjoy!

Comwell Varbergs Kurort, Varberg, Sweden
Cailin was happily invited to stay here for two nights in May 2010. This hotel is in the small seaside town of Varberg, Sweden. Located on the west coast of Sweden the hotel sits right on the Kattegat Bay (which comes off of the North Sea, which is part of the Atlantic Ocean) and has a wonderful pathway along the sea from the hotel to the fortress and city. The hotel has been said to have the best Spa in all of Europe. They have every spa treatment imaginable from seaweed baths to a light room to help get rid of the winterblues. They also have daily exercise classes, spin classes, yoga and water aerobics. They have a full size salt water pool, a steam room, sauna, hot and cold baths and all the fizzy water for drinking that you can imagine. They also feature full buffets for each meal of the day along with bar service, a reading library, free wifi and bicycles for hire. An english link to their site can be found here and more links (written in Swedish can be found here) easily translated with something like Google Translate.

Four Points by Sheraton Bangor Airport
Often people from the maritime provinces in Canada go on road trips to the United States for shopping and more. Cailin did just that in July of 2010 and headed for Maine. A great stopping place for shopping or to see a giant Paul Bunyan statue after 8 hours of driving from Halifax, Nova Scotia is Bangor, Maine. While there she spent the night with a couple friends at the Four Points Sheraton. Located near the airport and only 1 exit away from tons of great shopping this redesigned, newly updated hotel is a great place to stay. A room comes with all the bottled water you could want and free Wi-Fi! (yay!!!) They also have a gym and a small pool and a restaurant with a yummy breakfast with great jams. The hotel also has extremely friendly and helpful staff along with free parking.
