The touristy Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood was definitely not my favorite in San Francisco. But this clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl from Boudin (a bakery known for their delicious sourdough) almost made up for the crowds and kitsch. The chowder was thick, creamy and delicious, and I could probably survive on bread like this for weeks.
