Turkish ice cream is stretchy, which means that traditionally it was worked, toffee-style, with long sticks. Now in the tourist towns men use the same metal poles to work magic tricks with ice cream, twirling blocks of ice cream and snatching away cones. My son, like any kid, adored it.
