A thing…..hmmmm…well there is this place behind my mother’s home that is on the water in NC. 100 years ago before she put down a bulkhead to the property, people would throw there trash away overboard because there were no landfills and such. So time has burried neat little treasures and storms come along and uncover them. I find the neatest bottles and pottery. Even indian relics! So my favorite thing is a place that takes you back to a simpler place in time.

I’d love to win the camera because dragging around my huge video camera can be a total drag some days (ie when traveling!) and I’d love a small camera so I can downsize from “giant messenger bag” to “tiny satchel”. And getting to meet Nicole (@NicoleTravelBug) through the travel blogging community.
If only my pitiful student budget would allow me to afford a video cam – could’ve captured all these magical moments…

No really, my favourite thing is meeting random people. In particular I love meeting randoms on the road, locals and travellers, because they’re (mostly) always cool and memorable.
I’d use the camera to capture some of these awesome meetings on film. It maybe on a mountain-top, or maybe under the sea, or just wherever we happen to be.

When my very-not-waterproof camera went for a swim in Turks & Caicos, when my laptop ceased to power on in Philadelphia, when my BlackBerry screen cracked in the overhead compartment en route to San Francisco… it was hugs from my boyfriend and friends that turned the trips positive again. Besides, hugs are just as fun at home :)
