Looking for a fancy, well located place to stay while visiting Cape Town, South Africa? Then I recommend you check out the Radisson Blu. Located right on the waterfront with a waterside restaurant patio, a nice view of the harbour and view overlooking the city and the epic Table Mountain in the background it definitely checks all the boxes when looking for the perfect place to stay in Cape Town.
A view of the waterfront from the “Cape Wheel of Excellence”
From the hotel it is just a short walk (or complimentary shuttle ride away) to the city’s V&A Waterfront boardwalk, (one of the country’s most visited destinations) a great place for a stroll, drinks or a nice meal and some souvenir shopping as well.
The hotel like many has various room options, if I were you I would highly recommend asking for the sea view option. While staying there I somehow found myself in a Suite. It was literally bigger than some of my friends apartments times two!
The suite comes with a full sized kitchen, dining area and TV/living room with balcony that stretched to the master bedroom.
Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. You could literally almost get lost in the thing. I wish I had gotten to stay there for more than just a night to really try to enjoy it all and use the whole space.
A small view of the huge breakfast buffet.
A delicious caprese salad at Tobago’s Restaurant.
The hotel also features the a restaurant called Tobago’s open in the morning for full breakfast and buffet, for lunch and dinner. If you are lucky while you are staying there you might even run into a celebrity or two like I did.
I happened to meet the adorable Sophia Grace while in the lobby of the hotel.
Special thanks to Cape Town’s Radisson Blu for treating me like a rockstar. As always all views and opinions expressed are my own.
