The Best Luxury Apartment Rental in London – Where She Stayed

Visiting London? There are many different options of places to stay from hostels to hotels, from thrifty to luxury. In the past few years AirBnB and FlipKey apartment rentals of course have become a popular option as well. Although they can be a great deal, sometimes an apartment rental from a site like AirBnB can be a bit of a hassle, from needing to arrange specific times to pick up the keys, not always knowing what amenities will be available, to not having a maid, and more. However with an apartment rental specific company like the Cheval Residences in London you don’t need to worry about any of these hassles.

With the Cheval Residences you don’t have to sift through countless numbers of apartment options and apply to stay, hoping that you will be accepted. You know 100% that it will be clean and with 24 hour conceierge service available at most properties you can check-in at any time of day. You can also arrange to have maid service if wanted, when you chose from the available times.

A fully equipped kitchen with everything you could want

Another bonus is the kitchen in each apartment being fully equipped. At the property I recently stayed in there was even the nice touch of some bread, milk and butter already in the apartment when I arrived so that I had some bare necessities and didn’t have to worry about immediately running out for groceries.

While traveling through London last May I stayed at the Cheval Residences Phoenix House in the Chelsea area of the city near Sloane Square. I was in a 1-bed Duplex style loft and it was far more space than I needed, but it was a nice break from hotels and hostels. It was great to have my own space to spread out, cook, relax, sleep and rest up as I also happened to be getting over a cold.

The Cheval Phoenix house was centrally located and was just a short walk from the London Victoria Station. On one of the days it was raining, because London, but I was saved by my apartment having it’s own umbrellas for me to use. Other amenities I enjoyed of course was the fast wifi, my own washer/dryer combo, the small gym on property and the concierge. With 24 hour a day concierge whenever I needed something like taking my luggage to my apartment when I arrived, maid service, take out menus or instructions on how to use the washing machine they were there to help. Having a concierge also adds a nice sense of security to the property.

What it was missing: My room specifically, had a few windows which allowed natural light in which is great, however they were sky lights and the two other windows in the living space were really high up so I couldn’t really see out of them. Of course being London these apartments were built into a very old building so you get what you get but one of my favourite things about an accommodation is a nice view and I didn’t have this during my stay. Clearly this isn’t the end of the world and I am sure there are other rooms on different floors that might have views. However this is just something that I personally miss.

It looks quite nice. I’ve really enjoyed the AirBNB places I’ve tried but I have really one tried two so I can’t say that that is a big enough sample size! :P

In a posh city like London, staying in a luxury apartment rental like this one is the only way to stay if you got the money for it … slick place!
