This weeks Favorite Film Friday had me in awe of stop animation. I was a little bummed to find out in the end that it was made as an Ad for the Olympus Pen camera, but then I was like “Oh wait! The Pen is freaking awesome as is this Ad.” So because of that I approved it to be todays lovely #005 Favorite Film Friday feature. I stumbled upon this little video through a Facebook mention by Travel Yourself’s Guest Blogger Nico Koenig. They took 60,000 photos to make this animation possible and I can’t even begin to pretend to know how many countless hours they then spent putting this together. It’s very awesome and there is an obvious reason for it having over 3.1 million views.
I also love this video because it reminds me of little photo animations that I did in Film School while in University but also it reminds me of one of my favorite photographers David Hockney (If you haven’t heard of him check him out now!) I was very inspired by him in my photo days.
Enough blabing, I hope you enjoy this one! Please send me your recommendations for next weeks Favorite Film Friday! It can be something you made or something you just love, I want to see it all!
