Puerta Cerradas – where someone occasionally opens a restaurant in their own home – are one of my favourite inventions, and Buenos Aires is rife with them. Jueves a la Mesa, run by a bubbly Megan from America, was my favourite. We enjoyed this beautifully presented quinoa salad with a wonderful group of strangers including a family we later went to stay with in Salta – proving that puerta cerradas are about far more than just the food.
