Tea and Scones – Many Irish B&Bs will offer a warm welcome when you arrive- especially if the day is “soft” and chilly.  Tea is served black, and “strong enough for a mouse to trot across”.  The fresh baked scones, served at Ardmore House B&B in Kinnitty, County Offaly, were warm and had bits of orange rind, which added a refreshing zest.
